Senior Nick Johnson, director, has staged a reading/singing of the holiday story “Nightmare Before Christmas.” Wednesday, Dec 16th, at 7 pm. Admission: $5 or 5 cans of food. All proceeds and food will be donated to a local charity.

In Fools, the inhabitants of a small Russian village are cursed with stupidity and only the visiting school teacher, Leon Tolchinsky, can break the curse by teaching something to the hopelessly daft Sophia Zubritsky within 24 hours of his arrival. Neil Simon’s hilarious characters and clever dialogue make this show a hit with audiences of all ages. Auditions will be held in December for the spring musical. Prepare one minute of a song which shows off your voice. Song does not have to be from a Broadway musical. Bring accompaniment on CD, tape or flash drive (or you can perform without accompaniment).

FALL PLAY AUDITIONS

Auditions for the Fall Play, “Fools” by Neil Simon (license pending), are at the end of this week: 10/8-9. Auditions are open to all students at LHHS. Those who are interested should pick up an application in Room 204, next to the theater (or from the Drama Club table during Club Rush). Rehearsals will be after school starting next week, and the production runs Nov 19-21.
Thanks to everyone who tried out! (Tough choices this year.) If you did not make the team this year, please try out again next year. If you did make the team, make sure you plan to go to GameCon #1 on October 3rd (9-4 at San Marino H.S.). Also, plan on attending a meeting on Wednesday evening (9/23) at 7:00 pm. Parents are also welcome to attend.
