The OC Register is doing a special community partnership promotion right now, whereby you can get a one-year subscription to the Sunday Register for only $1. That is not a typo! One dollar, total, for 52 weeks of the Sunday paper. There is no requirement to continue past the 52-week term. (Offer valid only for new subscribers.)

The Orange County Register now has a Varsity Arts section of the newspaper in every Sunday edition. That is where the Cappies reviews of high school theater shows appear, along with many other great stories about the arts in our high schools. (The Sunday Register also has the NY Times Crossword puzzle, which I love!)

To take advantage of this fantastic deal, you need to fill out a form and attach a dollar bill (or a check for $1 payable to the OC Register)and turn it in to me by Wed, Dec 18th. Subscriptions will start 4-5 weeks after forms are submitted. The form is posted at or you can shoot me an email and I will send a kid over with the form. Please get them back to me by 12/18 so that I can meet the deadline.

Happy holidays!

Congrats to MVHS Role About Festival Finalists!

Jimmy Troy and Johanna Alarcon both advanced to finals at Saturday’s festival. Jimmy performed a monologue from the play Equus and Johanna performed a monologue from our upcoming play Misalliance by George Bernard Shaw. Well done!
