Once again, we had a tremendous number of talented students to choose from for our musical this year. The panel of judges had many options and were impressed with how many qualified candidates tried out. Thank you all for your efforts and for your patience throughout the process. If you have been cast as an understudy, please look at that as an opportunity to perform! If you have not been cast in this show, please consider participating in an offstage role. Our first meeting is at tutorial on January 31st for everyone who wants to be part of the cast or crew. See you then! Cast List
Thanks to everyone who auditioned for the spring musical! Based on the initial auditions, we have decided to do Into the Woods this year. It is the best vehicle for featuring many talented performers.
If you are on the callback list, please familiarize yourself with the songs that character sings–or even better, with the whole show! At the callbacks, you will sing a short selection from the show for each character you are being considered for. We will also do some character improv and a tonal memory test (where I play a series of notes on the piano and you sing them back to me). Please note that not all roles are listed on the call-back list, but all roles ARE open. We will cast all parts based on the callbacks for these specific characters.
Callbacks are Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, 1/4-5, from 3:30 to 5:30. Please plan to come both days unless I specifically tell you otherwise. If you have any questions, text or email me!
Auditions are Dec 12-15 for the spring musical. Singers and dancers of all sizes, shapes and colors are encouraged to apply! Come pick up an application and sign up for an audition time this week: Dec 5-9.
On Tuesday, November 15th, and Wednesday, November 16th, at 6:30 pm, you can enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Beach Pit BBQ, an intriguing audience-interaction mystery presented by the Laguna Hills High School Advanced Drama and Stagecraft students, and a chance to win $50 if you can figure out “whodunnit”! Presented at the Laguna Hills Community Center, each night has a different cast, so check out the cast lists on the Upcoming Productions page to pick the night you want to attend. Tickets are $20 and are available LH Community Center (949-707-2680), online, or at the door (until sold out).
